Gerda says that Dad is a very frequent checker of the blog.  But we have been slowing way down in posting these days because the progress is more painstaking.  However, a few things to report Dad.  Marianne has done another hand textured ceiling, this time the laundry room.  I think the picture shows it reasonably well.. they do look really great….  Marianne has also been painting more, including some of the doors that Harry has been installing.  Baseboards and trim are starting to go up in some rooms.  And the laundry sink has had a start ….. on we go…

  1. OK, why are my plumbing pipes now exposed and no longer in the laundry room wall?

  2. Cause they are not allowed to be behind the vapour barrier in an “exterior” wall for fear of freezing… fat chance in that wall, but that’s the code… And leaving them exposed seemed easier than building a box for them… and they look kind of cool bringing a bright red accent to the room… Harry

  3. thank you for the special consideration! Tricky business that shower pipe. However, will it ever feel relieved when after so many months you are finally able to take a proper shower even with your own well water . . .

  4. I do believe that is my tape measure sitting on top of the washer box. I hope you are taking very good care of it.
