Great to see it done, but I dunno, I did like the straw wall look 😉

Yeah, we were sad to cover up the straw, but then Dennis reprimanded us for being overly emotional. “Just Do It,” he said. So we did. Maybe we’ll paint it a nice straw colour next spring.

OK guys, do you have any straw left? I say that you should take a sliver of straw and glue it to the exterior wall of the garage so that it is visible for all when you drive up to the house. Wait, how about a NIKE swoosh. You know, Just Do It. Isn’t that the Nike thing?
Now back to reality. It looks good. And not too soon considering how much snow you have on the ground. But more important, is the heat on yet?

Nope, the heat’s not on yet. Plumbers are too busy around here! But, we just had a visit tonight from one who will be able to install the boiler and get the radiant heating going. No big deal — we have 2 small space heaters running and lovely thick walls that hold in every BTU they put out. (did you know — BTU = British Thermal Unit)

I think it looks great! – Time to move in for the winter with all that snow and cold weather hey? Does it feel good to have that part of this journey done?

Very impressive! I love the plastered look-it gives such character to the walls and wonderful window spaces for plants-very warm and “gzelik”.Congrats on getting that part done!Keep on going, I heard Gerda is prepared to paint the entire time she is home for Christmas, even on Christmas eve and Christmas day so have lots of work ready for her. All she wants for Christmas is a paintbrush! Good work guys, looks awesome!

I was just looking at the pictures again. In the first one, is that Rosie frozen to the front corner of the studio?

Yeah, she looks a little stuck eh Dennis? Not frozen though… just didn’t move out of the way quickly enough. Boiler is to be ready for installation about Dec 13. Then the floor sealed, then we can get on with more work in the house. Harry

Now Betty, I think the word is “gezelig” not gzelik. Hmmm I think I’m right! Uncle Kor
